THE ATLANTIS GRAIL has been optioned for development as a feature film series and/or TV series.

You have two options. You die, or you Qualify.

The year is 2047. An extinction-level asteroid is hurtling toward Earth, and the descendants of ancient Atlantis have returned from the stars in their silver ships to offer humanity help.

But there's a catch.

They can only take a tiny percent of the Earth's population back to the colony planet Atlantis. And in order to be chosen, you must be a teen, you must be bright, talented, and athletic, and you must Qualify.

Sixteen-year-old Gwenevere Lark is determined not only to Qualify but to rescue her entire family.

Because there's a loophole.

If you are good enough to Qualify, you are eligible to compete in the brutal games of the Atlantis Grail, which grants all winners the laurels, high tech luxuries, and full privileges of Atlantis Citizenship. And if you are in the Top Ten, then all your wildest wishes are granted... Such as curing your mother's cancer.

There is only one problem.

Gwen Lark is known as a klutz and a nerd. While she's a hotshot in classics, history, science, and languages, the closest she's come to sports is a backyard pool and a skateboard.

This time she is in over her head, and in for a fight of her life, against impossible odds and world-class competition--including Logan Sangre, the most amazing guy in her school, the one she's been crushing on, and who doesn't seem to know she exists.

Because every other teen on Earth has the same idea.

You Qualify or you die.

This book is one of those that will stay in your mind even after you finish it. Great plot, and great characters. I really enjoyed the book and will buy the sequel. Really recommend if you enjoyed the ‘Hunger Games’ as this book deals with fighting for those you love and would do anything you need to do, to help and save them.
  • Amazing!

While this is not Harry Potter level, very few if any books out today are, it is certainly more than adequate. The characters are well developed & the plot contains some very original surprises. It treads very lightly on the teen romance element & still maintains the integrity of the story. This is one of the very few books I highly recommend for readers of all ages who enjoy this genre.

  • Of hardcore porn, bad physics and cook books

    By John Frosted
This author can definitely get her ideas across and tell an interesting story, with good dialog. But.. First off, I’m not sure this story needs to be told. While this isn’t porn in any traditional sense, the subject matter is similar in one way: it’s often said that while it’s hard to define what porn is, one knows it when they see it. The subject matter in this book, trying to justify homicide for ANY reason, simply is should not be written. Then the author goes on and glorifies it by making it a world wide media event... The end of the world is at hand, lets watch our kids kill each other... It cheapens life and desensitizes the reader to it. Recent books like Hunger Games exploit this fact. But this book takes it to a whole new hard core pornographic level. It’s simply wrong. The second thing that’s bothersome about this book are the so-called “good” aliens that are going to rescue a million or so teenagers from an end of the world scenario. Frankly the author just uses them to implement her homicide games, but doesn’t go into the social or political reasons why those games are necessary or supported by the rest of the world. In reality this could be considered an invasion story where the earthlings become slaves to the aliens every desire. It’s very interesting that the 1962 Twilight Zone episode “To Serve Man” and their great cook book was not referenced here. And finally, this book provides more evidence that the ability to teach high school physics continues to degrade. I’m perfectly willing to suspend belief on advanced technology, only so long as it’s used in a logical and consistent way. The hover boards play a big part in this story, and the authors only technical fact is that they can lift 17 tons each. After which she goes all girly and avoids any math in the rest of the story, or really exploit the technology that allows them to work. Later in the story, one million hover boards are used in the final race.. My objection here is that this is a huge resource that could have been used to alter the course of the killer asteroid. In the worst case is that Ceres, which is 1/3 the total mass of all the rocks in the asteroid belt, could have been moved well over half the diameter of the earth in the 18 months from when it was discovered, using just these hover boards. Since the aliens also have thousands of space craft, and most asteroid are 1000’s of times smaller than Ceres, one could conceivably believe that the aliens don’t have the best interest of earthlings in mind. My guess is that the aliens think earthlings are fun to watch kill each other, and the young fit ones they harvest from the earth will taste good. This is a horror story..

Fast paced, engaging characters and very compelling plot. I will definitely be finding anything else written by this wonderful author to devour! Thank you for sharing this story.
